Customers love our rolls

(DALLAS, TX) In September, Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants across the country will be literally rolling out new dough.  The new artisanal breads are modeled after Dickey’s signature rolls with a touch of Southern sweetness and fresh, simple ingredients. New bread items will include handcrafted buns, hoagies and dinner rolls baked daily in all restaurants.

“Customers love our rolls because they have a touch of sweetness that pairs perfectly with our hot pit-smoked barbecue and tangy barbecue sauce,” said Jeff Forrester, Vice President and Executive Chef for Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants, Inc. “Now, all of our buns and hoagie rolls will have that same southern fresh bread recipe that I know our customers are going to love.”

The homemade bread products are part of Dickey’s menu innovations that now include the sale of whole meat options including slow-smoked briskets, pork butts, barbecue honey hams, smoked turkeys and full racks of ribs. With the new bread recipe, Dickey’s continues its commitment to fresh, wholesome ingredients and authentic home-style family meals.

“We are really shaking things with our menu --the new bread just kicks off the hot new items we have planned,” said Forrester. “Dickey’s new bread has that authentic, right out of the oven flavor -- you’ll think your grandma made them.”

Shakespeanean Festival

CEDAR CITY, UT – Is known for many great things and now it will be known for having GREAT Barbecue.

Four Shakespearean classics, two hit musicals, an American stage icon about justice, and a regional premier of a new play are all scheduled as part of the 2013 season at the Utah Shakespeare Festival.

The Festival’s 2013 season, its 52nd, will run from June 24 to October 19. Ticket Office windows at the Festival, by calling 800-PLAYTIX, or by visiting us online at www.bard.org.

The Festival will present in the world-famous outdoor Adams Shakespearean Theatre the first in that history cycle, King John. Also in the Adams Theatre will be Shakespeare’s epic masterpiece The Tempest and the frothy romance Love’s Labour's Lost. These three plays will run from June 24 to August 31.

“In addition to featuring works by the Bard, we will return to producing two musicals in the season,” Ivers commented. Featured in the Randall L. Jones Theatre from June 24 to August 31 will be Cole Porter’s high energy musical Anything Goes. During the late season, September 18 to October 19, guests can enjoy favorite songs from the 50s and 60s in Roger Bean’s The Marvelous Wonderettes.

Also in the Randall L. Jones Theatre will be the American theatre classic Twelve Angry Men from June 24 to August 31 and the second in Shakespeare’s history cycle, Richard II, from September 18 to October 19.

The final, and perhaps most exciting, 2013 production will be a regional premiere of the winner of five 2012 Tony Awards, Peter and the Starcatcher by Rick Elice based on the novel by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson. Peter and the Starcatcher promises to be a thrilling, imaginative, theatrical experience about Peter Pan, the boy who never grew, and all the memorable characters he encounters on his journey to Neverland. Fun and inviting for the whole family; this show is not to be missed. Peter and the Starcatcher will run all season from June 24 to October 19, in the Randall L. Jones Theatre.

“Each play represents our continued commitment to explore master works of the theatre while entertaining and engaging our audiences in new and thrilling ways,” concluded Artistic Director Brian Vaughn.

“It is a season of limitless possibilities.”

Bring your ticket stub into Dickey's and receive a discount when you buy one pulled pork sandwich and a drink you get a second sandwich FREE.

Saving Money @ Dickey's Barbecue Pit

One of the signature items found at every single Dickey’s Barbecue Pit locations is its big yellow cups. These cups are named as such because they are pretty large in size when compared to most franchises and can hold a huge amount of soda. It’s the Texas spin on beverage sizes, and it’s made the company famous in the process. Because of this, the company has named their exclusive discount club after these giant yellow cups that can be seen throughout its restaurants.

To join the Big Yellow Cup Club, customers will need to navigate to the company’s website and click on the large sign that asks them to join the club. There, they’ll be greeted with a simple sign-up form. Customers will need to enter their first name and last name, as well as their email address. They’ll also need to supply their favorite location (or the one where they most frequently enjoy the company’s menu) as well as their zip code. With all of that having been filled out, it’s as easy as clicking the “submit” button and receiving the company’s first offer.

The first offer a customer receives can vary depending on which promotions the company is currently running for its Big Yellow Cup Club membership, but typically will consist of a free entree from the menu, or a free second entree with the purchase of the first. That makes it great for dates and family meals, and it’s a significant savings for frequent diners at Dickey’s Barbecue Pit.

As an added bonus, subscribers to the company’s Big Yellow Cup Club will receive their very own Big Yellow Cup upon redeeming their introductory special offer at a Dickey’s location. And that means they can enjoy an official, Texas-sized soda or other beverage at home whenever they see fit.

The company will then send periodic special offers to its club members, and invite them to try new menu offerings by offering them for free. Club members can expect percentage discounts from these coupons — such as 25 percent off of a family’s meal — as well as “buy one get one” deals on entrees or other promotions. And they’ll be clued into the latest happenings at the company, as each special offer comes paired with news about what’s going on at the restaurant.
