Dickey's Polish Sausage

Wanna taste of homemade?  Pick up some Polish Sausage from Dickey's Barbecue Pit, Cedar City, Utah and give this recipe a try.

Easy and delicious!

Dickey's Polish Sausage & Veggies
4 cups cubed peeled potatoes (about 2-1/2 pounds)
1 pound smoked Polish sausage or smoked kielbasa, cut into 1/4-inch slices
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup julienned sweet yellow pepper
1/2 cup julienned sweet red pepper
1-1/2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
1 tablespoon canola oil
1 tablespoon butter
Directions
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the potatoes, sausage,
onion, peppers and Cajun seasoning in oil and butter for 15-20
minutes or until potatoes are tender, stirring occasionally.
Yield: 6 servings.

Dickey's Crock Pot Lasagna ~ the family will love it!

Crock Pot Lasagna....Easy and Yummy...

1 pound Dickey's meat chopped spicy cheddar sausage
Lasagna noodles
1 jar spaghetti sauce
1 1/2 cups cottage cheese
1 1/2 cups shredded Mozzarella cheese
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

Directions
Spoon 1 C. spaghetti sauce in bottom of 4 quart crock pot. Mix remaining sauce with meat. Place 2 uncooked lasagna noodles on sauce in crock pot. Spread 1/3 meat mixture on top of noodles. Spread 3/4 C. cottage cheese over meat. Sprinkle 1/2 C. mozzarella cheese over cottage cheese. Add another layer of uncooked noodles, 1/3 meat mixture, the remaining cottage cheese and 1/2 C. mozzarella cheese. Place another layer of uncooked noodles, meat mixture, and mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over top. Cook on low for 4 hours.
If cooked much longer, it gets a bit well done.

Held at the Adams Outdoor Theater - Utah Shakespeare Festival.

Enjoy an entertaining evening devoted to professional cycling, as emcee Dave Towle introduces all 17 squads during the 2013 Tour of Utah Team Presentation Ceremony. Grab an autograph of your favorite rider while you revel in an elegant and thoroughly enjoyable evening dedicated to international sport at the Utah Shakespeare Festival's Adams Theatre, a replica of the Elizabethan Globe Theater in England in Cedar City.

START LINE – BRIAN HEAD:

(Activities are FREE):
Approximate start time 11:30 – Arrive early for more fun!

Mingle with the Tour of Utah riders on the top of the world at 10,000 ft. in Brian Head. Beginning at 9:30 AM Brian Head Resort’s Scenic Lift Ride will be open for sightseeing and Mountain Biking. Take in the breath taking views, hone rock climbing skills or feed your inner adrenaline junkie with the new “Free Fall” bag jump. www.brianhead.com

THE ROUTE:
Hill climbs are awesome! If you’re a die hard fan you will want to situate yourself along the route of the tough climbs. Dress yourself in your favorite team colors, paint your face, bring a poster, banner, flag, etc. and cheer on the riders. The route will leave Brian Head and follow Utah’s Patchwork Parkway - Hwy 143 through parts of Cedar Breaks National Monument. Turn east and stay on Hwy 143 leading to Panquitch. The route continues south on Hwy 89, turns west at Todd’s Junction onto SR-14 into Cedar City.
FINISH LINE- CEDAR CITY:

Approximate finish time: 3:30-4 PM – Arrive early for TONS of Festivities

Check out the professionally done chalk art at the finish line on Main Street or try your hand at street art in the designated expo space.

THE ROUTE: Take your sign or flag from the poster party and grab a spot on the route. As a riders race down SR-14 they will head north on Main Street to 200 North to 300 West (toward Southern Utah University) turning west on to University Blvd. Around the campus they will then head south on 1150 West behind the stadium, make an eastbound turn - up 200 South back to Main Street, repeating the circuit loop three times. Tour of Utah riders will do three fast laps around the university and finish in Historic Downtown near Wells Fargo.

Cedar City, Utah is known as “Festival City USA.” It is home to the Tony Award-winning Utah Shakespeare Festival, the Utah Summer Games, the Groovefest American Music Festival, and dozens of other events. Visitors from around the world crowd here each year to enjoy these events and to visit nearby Cedar Breaks National Monument and Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks. Cedar City is also earning a reputation as an endurance event mecca. The city’s mile-high elevation and the nearby mountains towering over 11,000 feet provide the perfect terrain for the Red Rock Relay, the Cedar City Half Marathon, Fire Road Cycling and more. Cedar City is proud to host the Larry H. Miller Tour of Utah in 2013.

Rolling through Bryce Canyon National Park and two national monuments for the first time, the 2013 Larry H. Miller Tour of Utah professional cycling stage race will be the longest and among the most challenging in its nine-year history. This year's event will test the world’s finest professional cycling teams with a total of 586 miles and 43,621 vertical feet of climbing.
